Gabriella Richardson Vasques is a versatile pianist and dynamic educator based in  the Geneva, Switzerland area.  With over 15 years experience teaching adults and children of all levels, Gabriella aspires to impart to her students a love, respect and knowledge of music all while developing and encouraging their musical independence.

A highly dedicated pedagogue, she has taught at numerous institutions including Oberlin College Conservatory and Indiana University.  Maintaining active piano studios wherever she has lived, many of her students have garnered top honours.  She has served as judge on several competitions and most recently was invited to participate on the jury of the Steinway Malaysia Youth Piano Competition. 

Gabriella has made solo, chamber and concerto appearances in the USA, France, Switzerland, Italy and Malaysia.  

Her activities have also extended to concert organization. She was co-founder and president of the Festival de Jussy, a multi- disciplinary festival which encouraged the participation of young musicians and amateur musicians in the local community, in parallel with performances by international renowned musicians.  

With her students she as participated in community outreach programs, thus creating many performance opportunities for her students while benefiting the local communities.  

The profound impact that a musical education has on the youth of our society as well as adults has been a strong motivator for Gabriella.  A true aspiration is to be able to impart to her students a love and knowledge of music as well as a strong technical background so as to develop the independence to continue to play, listen and participate in a musical life within their communities, throughout their lives
